1. Definitions and Interpretation
Definitions
"Company / EMPERIO" Refers to EMPERIO GOLD AND SILVER COINS (HK) LIMITED, its successors, or authorized parties.
"Customer" Refers to a client who orders from the Company.
"Collectible" Refers to limited-edition, exquisitely crafted gold and silver coins with distinct themes, possessing collectible value.
"Bullion" Refers to high-mintage gold and silver coins and other bullion products whose prices are pegged to international precious metal prices, suitable for investment and trading.
Binding Force
- Headings are for reference only and do not affect the interpretation of the terms.
- Product classifications ("Collectible Coins" and "Investment Coins / Bullion Products") are determined by the Company and may be adjusted at any time without prior notice.
- By using this website, you agree to comply with these terms. The Company reserves the final right of decision and may amend the terms at any time without prior notice.
2. Payment Methods
Accepted Currencies: HKD (cash/bank transfer) or USD (bank transfer).
Payment Options (based on order amount):
- Bank transfer
- Hong Kong bank cheque
- Cash (HKD only)
- Credit card, PayPal, UnionPay, and other third-party payments (additional fees borne by the customer).
Restrictions:
- Customers are responsible for any additional fees incurred with electronic payments.
- The Company reserves the right to reject any credit card payments.
- Third-party payments are not accepted; all payment accounts must match the user's registered information.
- Cheque processing requires 2 working days for clearance.
3. Delivery and Insurance
Carrier: SF Express
Delivery Service:
- Free shipping and insurance for orders between HKD 1,000–25,000 via SF Express.
- Delivery points: Residential, commercial buildings, or SF Express pickup stations (must be signed for in person).
Delivery Time: Typically dispatched within 5–7 working days.
International Orders:
- Shipping fees will be quoted separately.
- Customers are responsible for any import duties/taxes.
Issue Reporting: Lost parcels or delivery issues must be reported within 5 working days; late notifications may void claims.
Disclaimer:
- If the customer requests no signature (e.g., leaving at doorstep or with a receptionist), insurance will be void.
- If the package is not signed for directly, the customer must cooperate with investigations (e.g., filing a police report, providing information). The Company bears no responsibility in such cases.
4. Return Policy
Out-of-Stock Items: Full refund will be issued.
Order Confirmation: If a customer pays a deposit but the order is not completed, they may exchange the product or convert the deposit into store credit for future purchases.
Return Window:
- Returns are only accepted for quality issues.
- Customers must submit a return request within 7 working days of receipt, including detailed photos of the defective product, sent via email or WhatsApp customer service.
Return Requirements:
- Customers must repackage the product as instructed by the Company.
- Return shipping and insurance costs are the customer’s responsibility.
5. Taxes and Duties
Hong Kong: No sales tax.
International Shipments: All import taxes (e.g., VAT) and local duties are the customer’s responsibility. The Company bears no liability.
6. Returned Shipments
If a shipment is returned due to:
- Unpaid import taxes/duties, or
- Failed delivery attempts by the carrier,
the customer must cover:
- Return shipping fees,
- Customs charges,
- Insurance, and
- Reshipment costs (which may take 4–6 weeks).
7. Order Cancellation
Customer Cancellation:
- Orders cannot be canceled after confirmation.
- If a member wishes to sell the product, they must follow the "Buyback Policy" on the Company’s website: www.emperiogoldcoins.com.
Company Cancellation:
- The Company reserves the right to cancel orders, including but not limited to:
- Suspicious orders,
- Pricing errors,
- Extreme market volatility,
- Unpaid orders.
- Full refunds will be issued for canceled orders.
8. Market Loss Policy
Price Lock:
- Prices are fixed upon order confirmation.
- To cancel a transaction, customers must follow the "Buyback Policy" on the Company’s website. Debt Offset: The Company may deduct outstanding balances from the customer’s store credit.

10. Liability Limitation
- The Company is not liable for any direct or indirect losses arising from:
- Website use,
- Linked content, or
- Transactions.
- Maximum compensation is limited to the amount actually paid by the customer.
11. Force Majeure
The Company is not liable for failures due to:
- Natural disasters,
- Government actions,
- War, terrorism, strikes,
- Transport delays,
- System failures,
- Customer breach of contract, etc.
12. Fraud Handling
Anti-Fraud Measures: The Company may cancel suspicious orders or request additional verification (e.g., phone confirmation, ID, bank proof).
Legal Action: The Company will cooperate with law enforcement in fraud investigations.
13. Indemnification
Customers must compensate the Company for losses (including legal fees) due to breaches of these terms.
14. Privacy Policy
The Company complies with Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).

16. Disclaimer
i) Electronic Trading System Risk Disclosure and Disclaimer
EMPERIO shall not be liable for any losses (including direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental losses) arising from the use of our online electronic trading system. Furthermore, the Company shall not be responsible for any losses resulting from system interference, suspension, or interruption, or any errors, omissions, or discrepancies in the information and data provided on this website.
ii) Precious Metals Trading Disclaimer
The precious metals market involves capital investment risks and price volatility. Trading precious metals carries risks and may not be suitable for all investors. Clients should carefully assess their risk tolerance before trading and fully acknowledge the potential for investment losses due to market price fluctuations.
iii) System Malfunction Disclaimer
The online electronic trading system is designed to provide clients with efficient and reliable trading services. However, internet service providers are not 100% reliable, and failures of one or more providers may affect the execution of online orders. Clients acknowledge and understand that the online trading system, as an electronic platform, may experience malfunctions beyond EMPERIO's control. Clients declare that they have fully read and understood the risk disclosures and disclaimer terms for online trading.
iv) Limitation of Liability Disclaimer
EMPERIO is committed to handling all orders submitted through the online electronic trading system with due care. However, the Company shall not be liable for any losses caused by:
• Operational errors, negligence, or failure to execute orders;
• System failures, data transmission service disruptions, or communication facility malfunctions;
• Any force majeure events or circumstances beyond EMPERIO's reasonable control that result in delays in order transmission or execution.
17. Governing Law
- The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. In case of any disputes, the Company's decision shall be final. Where there is any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
- These terms are governed by Hong Kong SAR laws, and both parties submit to the jurisdiction of Hong Kong courts.
