The reverse side of the coin features a beautiful and vibrant representation of a bison. The finish of the coin gives it a proof look that really pops. What goes beyond the standard brown of the bison’s fur is a rich tapestry of colors that is designed and used by the Colorado artist Phil Lewis.

 

On the obverse side of the coin has a stylized representation of a bison’s horns and head shape. The background has a bison hair pattern. At the top left is the date of issue and at top right is an individual serial number. At the center features the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II along the face value and issuing authority (Solomon Islands).
