The PAMP Suisse Lunar Legend Series continues in 2026 with the PAMP Suisse 2026 Year of The Horse - Legend of 1000 Mile Horse 99.99% Gold Minted Bar 1oz, celebrating the timeless Chinese legend of the 1,000 Mile Horse. In folklore, this mythical steed was said to travel one thousand li in a single day, its speed and power unmatched by any mortal rider. Only Bo Le, the famed horse appraiser, could recognise and tame its extraordinary potential. In Chinese culture, the “Thousand Mile Horse” has since become a symbol of hidden talent, untapped ability, and perseverance waiting to be discovered.
According to Chinese legend, the Jade Emperor staged a great race to determine the order of the zodiac animals. The horse, known for its free-spirited and resilient nature, claimed seventh place despite a surprise encounter with a serpent along the way. People born under the sign of the Horse, in 2026, 2014, 2002, 1990, and every twelfth year prior, are said to be independent, charismatic, and drawn to adventure.
Struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure gold, the reverse of this minted bar captures the majestic horse in full gallop, set against a backdrop of rocky terrain and swirling clouds, an auspicious Chinese motif symbolising heavenly blessings, smooth progress, and good fortune. Above its head, the Chinese character 馬(Horse) completes the auspicious design, embodying vigour, ambition, and progress. The obverse features a lunar motif with a brilliantly detailed full moon, further emphasising the bar’s connection to celestial cycles and the legendary Lunar series. At the same time, the reverse displays PAMP Suisse logo, the bar’s weight, metal content, purity and a unique serial number.
Each bar is presented in a vibrant red CertiPAMP™ assay card themed for the Year of the Horse, complete with a protective gift sleeve. Every bar is individually serialised, ensuring authenticity and security. A striking release that unites ancient Chinese folklore with modern Swiss excellence, the Legend of the 1,000 Mile Horse is a treasure for both investors and collectors.
