The Fabergé Egg is a collection of magnificent artwork that was created in 69 different styles. The Tsarevich Egg was among the most desirable. Tsarevich Alexei Nicholaevich, a haemophiliac from birth, experienced acute haemorrhaging in early 19th century. Empress Alexandra, who had nothing to do, came across Rasputin, a Russian who professed to be a holy man. He prophesied the Tsarevich would live, and sure enough, the Tsarevich made a miraculous recovery. Tsar Nicholas II honoured his wife's decision by giving her a piece of a Fabergé egg.

The underside of the Tsarevich Fabergé Egg gently displayed the entire egg. Using blue dying and gold gilting to represent the original blue lapis lazuli and gold, the egg depicted a double-headed imperial eagle. The egg is made of colourful floral ornaments in light relief. The egg’s name and author were desperately desired by the bottom half. The obverse shows the Mongolian Coat of Arms, denomination, coin’s weight and purity.
