As Prince George is christened, The Royal Mint strikes a range of premium coins in another first, for coins have never been issued for a Royal christening.

 

Three months after the birth of Prince George, he received a Royal Christening in the Royal Chapel of St. James's Palace in London. The coin’s design features lily bouquets related to the traditional Royal Christening, two cherubs playing the harp on both sides, and the motto of the British Monarchy, a French phrase is scrolled along the bottom of the coin. The significance is extraordinary and precious.
