This beautiful silver coin set is the new release of the well-renowned Australian Lunar Series III, celebrating the Year of the Ox.

 

According to Chinese mythology, the order of the animals in the ancient zodiac calendar was decided with a great race across a river. The ox is one of 12 animals that participated in the Great Race and it finished second. The ox has subsequently ‘ruled’ every second year in the 12-year lunar cycle. Those born under the influence of ox are said to be kind, intelligent, hardworking, calm, honest and reliable.
